More waste Peel Environmental have been granted permission to increase the amount of inert landfill waste in the northern part of Marshall's Fletcher Bank Quarry, near Bury. Some 950,000m~3 of waste will be imported at a rate of 100,000m~3 per year, with the site due to be fully restored by 2038. Extension granted Kirklees Council has granted Wavin Ltd, suppliers of clayware products for the building, construction and utitities markets, a 10-year extension to their clay quarrying operations at Ox Lee Quarry, near Hepworth, following a slowdown in extraction rates during the downturn.
