Hyundai excavator for Thompsons Plant Hire

Cumbria-based Thompsons Plant Hire have invested in a new Hyundai R480LC-9A excavator supplied by local dealers Taylor and Bratihwaite. The 48-tonne machine is currently working at Lafarge Tarmac's High Craig Quarry, where it is being put to work loading Thompsons' new Sandvik QH331 cone crusher and QJ341 jaw crusher. The company has several other Hyundai machines with up to 6,000h on the clock and, according to Thompsons, apart from some minor teething problems, the Hyundai fleet has been trouble-free.
