Clee Hill Quarry and asphalt plant in Shropshire have been added to the Midland Quarry Products (MQP) network. Expansion of the company's asset base is in line with plans outlined by Hanson when they took full ownership of MQP last year to develop and grow the business'. Aggregate Industries are in talks at county and borough level over proposals to extend their 100ha Uttoxeter Quarry by a further 87ha. If the expansion is approved by Staffordshire County Council, sand and gravel extraction will continue a further eight years to 2024.
