PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF SUPERSATURATED ARRAYS

A simple technique for designing supersaturated arrays is presented. The designs have limited orthogonality but have other features which make them ideal for verification tests. In this type of application the use of the arrays can demonstrate with great efficiency that individual factors do not have severe effects, that no combination of any two factors has an unexpected interaction and that the average performance is within limits. The technique is extended to factors which have more than tow levels. Many different application areas are discussed and results are presented for two practical case studies.
