Tri-County Network

Last October, Washington, Allegany and Garrett counties, in partnership with the state of Maryland, implemented plans to build a three-county interoperable radio network, connecting their public safety land mobile radio systems and linking them to three state agency radio systems. ARINC Inc. received the federally funded contract to deploy the system, called WAGIN (Washington-Allegany-Garrett Interoperable Network), which should be operational in early 2010.
