Efforts to boost philanthropic engagement unfold against a backdrop that AARP calls "Life Reimagined." Millions of older adults are looking for new challenges and new connections. With longer life spans, with the demise of the old paradigm of school/ work/retirement/retreat and the advent of more flexible and less predictable paths, come new opportunities for meaningful engagement of older adults as volunteers and donors. Multiplying and simplifying those pathways to philanthropic involvement can make a profound difference in individual lives and community life.
