Leasing activity picks up in London's West End office market

Leasing activity in London's prized West End office market picked up sharply in May, according to Savills' West End Office Market Watch, suggesting the market is finally starting to recover from the impact of Covid. The amount of space leased totalled 280,239 sq ft across 20 deals in May, increasing year-to-date take-up to 980,348 sq ft, up 21% on the same point last year. The amount of space under offer in May was up 5% on April and 19% on the long-term average.
