New Hill Group and Bioregional JV to build affordable green homes

Housebuilder Hill Group has launched a joint venture with Bioregional Homes to deliver zero-carbon affordable homes. It will develop homes for sale at market rates and discounts. It also aims to widen access to home ownership by ensuring that lower house prices are permanently protected through community governance structures. The partnership will embrace Bioregional Homes"0ne Planet Living' principles of using modern methods of construction to build zero-carbon homes from sustainable materials. Bioregional Homes, a subsidiary of charity Bioregional, was set up in 2018. Its developments include BedZED eco village in south London and One Brighton. "The global pandemic is occupying our minds but the climate crisis, ecological crisis and housing crisis have not gone away," said Bioregional Homes chief executive Sue Riddlestone.
