In a polarised society, where trust in politicians and developers is at such a low ebb, connecting with communities is both more difficult and increasingly important. Earlier this year, the Westminster Property Association (WPA) published a report by Professor Tony Travers from the London School of Economics, exploring this issue and trying to pinpoint where trust in development and the planning system seemed to go so wrong.
