There's little doubt about the biggest job in Kevin Stewart's planning in-tray. The Aberdeen Central MP was appointed as local government minister in the Scottish government in a cabinet reshuffle carried out by first minister Nicola Sturgeon after last month's Scottish National Party election victory. Within a fortnight of beginning the job on 18 May, Stewart had received the results of a 'root and branch' review of the country's planning system, which had been commissioned by his predecessor, Alex Neil.
