Hommersmith towers up for grabs

Dubai-based education provider Gems Education Board is selling two office buildings in the heart of Hammersmith for a significant mixed-use redevelopment. Gems has appointed CBRE to sell Thames Tower and Landmark House on Hammersmith Bridge Road for £55m-£60m. Gems bought the site in 2011 from CBRE Global Investors for £33.5m. The two buildings of 11 and 15 storeys total 135,448 sq ft and are being sold as a prime development or refurbishment opportunity. Allies & Morrison architects has drawn up a plans for a development of up to 22 storeys at the site, which it hopes will appeal to the upper end of the residential market as well as office occupiers. The proposed scheme would provide a residential tower in the centre of the site as well as a terrace of houses on Angel Walk and an office building in the eastern area of the site.
