Back in the late 1990s, the one MIPIM invitation I treasured was a lunch in the lovely village of Mougins, a short drive north of Cannes, hosted by CLS Holdings'founder Sten Mortstedt and his chief executive, Glyn Hirsch. A coach would take the chosen few, mainly brokers, analystsand advisers, to the village square, where, after champagneand canapes, we would sit down in the Brasserie de laMediterranee for a sumptuous lunch.
