Motorola says goodbye to MEPC in Basingstoke

Motorola is moving out of MEPC's Chineham Park in Basingstoke as part of a global cost restructuring. The telecoms giant has six years remaining on the lease in two buildings totalling 114,000 sq ft, but has appointed Jones Lang LaSalle to marketthe space. Motorola pays £16.25/sq ft, but JLL is thought to be asking for £10/sq ft. A global review of property has led Motorola to move out of the Redwood Two building at the park.
