Residential auction transactions have risen since last year, research by Essential Information Group shows, but the average lot size has remained flat. The findings show that in 2012, the total number of residential lots sold at auction rose to 18,232, up from 17,141 in 2011 and 15,572 at the bottom of the market in 2010. The total value of residential lots rose to ￡2.1bn, up from ￡2bn in 2011.
