ive months after submitting my first application form, I was extremely relieved to be sealing the envelope that contained my signed contract of employment. I can only describe the process of applying for graduate jobs as utterly exhausting.The process began last October with endless online applications, cover letters and CVs. Then came the psychometric tests. The next hurdle was either a telephone interview with human resources or, even worse, a video interview. In this case, a James Bond-style email on a Friday night arrived congratulating me on being selected for a video interview. I had to wait until 6 pm the following day to receive the details and had until Monday evening to submit it.
