U+I unveils £1.4bn Mayfield scheme

Property Week can exclusively reveal the first detailed image of the Mayfield Partnership's masterplan for its mammoth £1.4bn Mayfield scheme in Manchester. The 30-acre site near Piccadilly Station, which has been largely unused for three decades, is earmarked for a brand-new neighbourhood development featuring 1,500 new homes, 1.7m sq ft of office space and the first new park the city centre has seen in more than 100 years. The U+I-led masterplan also includes a 650-bed hotel and a 581-space multi-storey car park opposite Manchester Piccadilly Station.
