National Grid pulls plug on 24 agents to cut costs

Electricity and gas provider National Grid is to cut the number of property advisers it uses from 25 down to a single service provider, as part of a cost-cutting exercise. The new adviser, which will be appointed in April 2012, will be responsible for managing all the company's UK lettings, small and medium-sized site sales, and town planning work for around 560 sites.
