Cushman and SWIP swoop in Germany

Cushman & Wakefield Investors and Scottish Widows Investment Partnership have bought a refurbished retail and office scheme in Dusseldorf city centre for just less than €20m, in the debut purchase their Pan-European Urban Retail Fund. The 52,000 sq ft Kasemenstrasse 1 mixed-use building is let to such retailers as Diesel and Mavi Jeans. New metro station entrances will open next to the property in late 2013, which will further increase footfall.
