The spectral coefficients are sequentially ordered according to their spectral location in the spectrum of the coded sound signal so that the spectral coefficients form a sequence of spectral coefficients. In addition, the device comprises a replacement unit for replacing, at least, one or more pseudo-coefficients with a specific spectral pattern to produce an altered audio spectrum.
