Fears of occupier retreat over Nottingham transport project

Nottingham's office and industrial property occupiers may next month have to pay a new tax, which starts at £3,168 a year and could exceed hundreds of thousands of pounds for large firms. From 1 April, Nottingham City Council will introduce the workplace parking levy, which will require workplaces that provide 11 or more parking spaces to pay £288 per space per year. The charge applies even if the spaces are divided between multiple locations within the borough.
