Property savvy Middle Eastern women have investment instinct

The CBRE residential team in London is constantly exploring new markets. We are always on the phone to our colleagues in Brazil, Kazakhstan, Turkey, India, Panama... the list goes on. But sometimes we have to stop and take stock of markets already known to us. I was first introduced to the Middle East market just over five years ago by Mark Collins. Now chairman of residential at CBRE UK - and former managing director of Harrods Estates - Mark has been travelling to the Middle East for more than a decade. In the past few years the United Arab Emirates government has made women's empowerment a key component of its strategy, working towards reshaping traditional social gender roles and promoting women in business and education. We have noticed women from across the Middle East taking an increasingly active role in property investment in London.
