Mike Ingall sees the world differently to everyone else, Where other people see a challenge, he spies opportunity. Where others merely see four walls and a roof, he envisages a boutique cinema, a speakeasy-inspired bar or a chef's table restaurant, It's this unique view of the world that has won Allied London's chief executive officer plaudits from far and wide for the regeneration work he has undertaken, particularly in Manchester. With Allied about to embark on a number of key developments in Manchester city centre, Property Week caught up with Ingall three years on from the management buyout of Allied London's holding company Capital HoldCo, which he of course led, to find out what the future holds for the business. If the first phase of Ingall's career at Allied was about doing the 'corporate' stuff (his description of the company's Spinningfields office development in Manchester), this next phase is all about releasing his creative juices.
