On June 18, 2010, Mayr-Melnhof s board machine BM 3 in Frohnleiten, Austria, was successfully put back into operation after the rebuild by Voith Paper. At 8.15 am sharp, production was changed from air knife operation to curtain coating and since then, the DF Coat-S is in use.rnThe main reason forthe rebuild was the speed limitation caused by the air knife. Thus, Mayr-Melnhof operates the world's first board machine using curtain coating for online graphic coat application in continuous operation.
