Constantly increasing energy costs and the demand to achieve the highest energy efficiency and lowest production costs require the continuous optimization of products and processes. ANDRITZ is aware of these customer needs as well as of the related environmental responsibility. Therefore ANDRITZ is constantly looking for solutions to meet this challenge. Tissue drying is a process requiring a high energy input: at present the tissue business sector shows the largest annual increase of all kinds of paper. The global 5 year forecast predicts an annual increase of 3%. With about 8% in average, the largest increase is expected for China. Based on the recent tissue consumption in China of about 4,800,000 t/y this leads to the assumption of an increase of about 380,000 t/y.
