Focus on apparently mundane everyday events and it's possible to make an enormous difference to employee commitment - and thus performance. That's the message of this book. The key to achieving this commendable objective is to harness two forces that facilitate the process. The first is catalysts, which involve identifying events that provide practical help in project work, such as combining clear goals with autonomy. The second is nourishers, which are those interpersonal actions that encourage positive behaviours, such as developing respect and trust.
