Carolyn McCall, chief executive of easy Jet, was this autumn handed CMI's Gold Medal for supreme management of the carrier, which now serves more passengers than any other UK airline. McCall, pictured right, was handed the medal by CMI chief executive Ann Francke during a special visit by Francke to the airline's headquarters at London Luton Airport. McCall thanked her team upon accepting the medal. "People are the thing that really change businesses and make them better - it is about people," she said. "Therefore I am particularly proud to receive an award which is about management and leadership."
