THE FIRST THING you'll have noticed is that your CMI magazine has changed. Big time. There are a number of reasons for this. Firstly, it's because we believe this is what you, our members, want. We listen carefully to what you say, via surveys, social media and direct interactions. And we've been picking up strong signals that you're interested, perhaps above all else, in where the world is heading and what that means for the evolution of your role, as managers and leaders, in a sometimes bewildering environment. Secondly, you also tell us that you want to feel closer to CMI's work, including our research, policy decision-making and high-level interactions. So with those two messages ringing in our ears, we decided to dedicate this edition of your magazine exclusively to the issues thrown up by 'Management 4.0' - the national conversation that CMI is leading about the future of management and leadership. Where this conversation heads will have implications for all of us, for our working lives and for our personal wellbeing.
