Packagers and importers of drugs and other substances subject to the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA) must comply with the Section 102 certification requirements in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, CPSC explained December 10. For drugs, the triggering product would be the child-resistant (CR) packaging, not the drug (over which CPSC has no jurisdiction), so certification requirements apply regardless of whether a drug is for children or adults.
