Global tablet shipments are expected to drop 15 to 20% sequentially in the first quarter due to off-peak season effects, according to a report from DigiTimes Research. The firm estimates market leader Apple's iPad shipments will decline 22.7% sequentially to 18 million units in the quarter, while No. 2 Samsung will sell about 14 million units.
