Influences of UV-Lacquer and plate on the UV-Lacquering

The UV-Lacquering occupies a very important place among finishing techniques, since it combines the advantages of a foil lamination in the matter of anti-chafing and gloss with the advantages of conventional oil printing and dispersion lacquers in printability. It is an undisputed fact that among all well-known lacquer systems the UV lacquers can produce the highest degree of gloss, which cannot simply be obtained with any other dispersion or oil printing lacquer. With the print quality and the designers' objectives getting more and more exacting day by day, in their effort to impart an unmistakable and strikingly eyecatching finish to their creations, we find in the market more and more printed materials, in which UV-lacquer finish is introduced deliberately as a design feature. The flexographic printing technology has become generally accepted as the lacquering method both for the spot finishing and the full surface lacquer finish. Flexo lacquering units with chamber doctor-blade and anilox roller technology are the state-of-the-art in sheet-fed offset presses and we cannot imagine packing printing without it.
