摘要

A generalized minimum-variance self-tuning power system stabilizer (PSS) is suggested. Computer simulations of a lightly damped single turbine-generator supplying power to an infinite bus system show that the PSS can effectively reduce oscillations over a large operating range and significantly improve rotor damping. The algorithm not only identifies the controller parameters directly from identification (such an algorithm is called an implicit algorithm), but also gives more freedom in engineering applications when choosing parameters. It also can handle the nonminimum-phase plant by choosing different weighting polynomials.
