Fe-Ni-Co-Ti alloys with thermoelastic martensitic transformation which is the base of the shape memory effect (SME) have been prepared by powder metallurgy methods and their characteristics were studied. As pores are believed to cause the improvement of shape memory properties, specifically the reversable character of deformation, the most attention was payed to developing the technology and investigation of the porous Fe-Ni-Co-Ti alloys. Problems concerned these alloys sintering, the powders of which were sputtered, are connected with the initial inhomogeneity and the newly formed one when the liquid phase appears.
