Tideland buoys and lights for Liberia's iron ore port

Tideland Signal is supplying buoys and light towers to the Atlantic port of Buchanan, which is being upgraded to handle iron ore from the iron ore deposits in the far north-west of Liberia. Two Tideland SB-285P cardinal buoys will mark the northern and southern limits of the channel into Buchanan together with the two towers, of 8 m and 9 m height respectively, mounted on the northern breakwater. The buoys are fitted with Tideland's SolaNOVA-65 self-contained LED lanterns with a range of 5.1 NM and V03 Informer AIS AtoN unit, which broadcasts to shipping the position of the buoy on which it is located and its status.
