George bush hates broccoli. So do lots of Americans, and their repugnance extends to other vegetables like brussels sprouts and to fruits like grapefruit. Why some people and not others? Such preferences, researchers reported at a meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science earlier this year, turn out to be genetically determined.
