MUSCLE CAR OF THE YEAR UPDATE

As of press time, we were still getting a steady flow of participant requests for the 2013 Muscle Car of the Year competition, which we'll be holding in the Columbus, Ohio, area on Monday, July 15. The entry deadline date for requesting an invite (there are just 20 slots open) was May 15, but we thought we'd show you three more cars that we're seriously considering for competition. They are the 71 Plymouth Duster of Eric Wracker, the '69 Chevelle of Richard Sengpiel, and the 72 Nova of Dan Ballard (which we've seen compete many times on the Goodguys Street Machine Autocross). Popular Hot Rodding's Muscle Car of the Year is a one-day invitational-only event that tests man and machine in three contests: drag racing, speed/stop challenge, and autocross. The car/driver team with the best combined performance is crowned Muscle Car of the Year, with an appearance on the cover of (and a story in) the Dec. '13 issue of PHR.
