摘要

The antioxidant activities of amines having a fused nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring were evaluated by the oxygen-absorption method in tetralin. The 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines with OH and NH_2 groups ortho to the heterocyclic NH group had an increased induction period compared to other 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines. The antioxidant activity of 1,2,3,4-tetra-hydroquinoxalines was much greater than that of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolines. Among the antioxidants tested, 2-methyl-l,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoxaline exhibited the highest induction period; 2.4 and 2.2 times that of BHT and Nonflex AW, respectively.
