DISTRICT COMMAND TEAM AUTUMN GOLF COMPETITION PORTSTEWART 2009

The RUCAA District Command Team Golf Competition was held at Portstewart Golf Club recently. A good turnout of golfers participated in this popular event at a dry but windy Portstewart. Despite a stiff breeze coming in off the Atlantic scores were high and obviously caused no problem to the Northwest members. Others found the going difficult.rnOn completion of the golf, competitors availed of a delicious meal in the beautiful and professionally designed new clubhouse. Leslie Busby and Trevor Hanvey checked the cards and listed the winners. Before announcing the winners Leslie welcomed everyone to Portstewart and thanked them for taking part in the competition. He extended a special welcome to Jonathan Caldwell, Sports Director Newforge and thanked him for sponsoring the prizes. Leslie also thanked Portstewart for the use of the course and excellent facilities and wished them well in their marvellous new clubhouse.
