Mexico has now launched its day-ahead wholesale electricity market for all except the southern end of the Baja Peninsula. Centro Nacional de Control de Energia began day-ahead power trading Thursday for the National Interconnected System, which is that part of the Mexican grid that serves the mainland, for delivery on Friday. On Tuesday, CENACE began day-ahead power trading for the Baja California system, which is at the northern end of the Baja Peninsula, for delivery Wednesday.
