In line with a 2013 order, Midcontinent Independent System Operator hasrnasked the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to approve tariffrnrevisions allowing the grid operator to share, when appropriate, non-publicrndata with natural gas pipelines and local distribution companies.rnThe commission in November 2013 gave explicit authority torninterstate natural gas pipeline and electric transmission operators tornvoluntarily share non-public, operational information in an effort tornenhance the reliability and integrity of gas and electric systems.
