Public Utility Commission names eight Texas Energy Reliability Council members

Eight people, including representatives of generators, wires companies, retail electric providers, municipal utilities, electric cooperatives, renewable power providers and a former federal regulator, were announced Oct. 19 as new members of the Texas Energy Reliability Council, created by the Texas Legislature in the spring. The council was established to ensure Texas energy and electric industries address high priority human and critical infrastructure concerns, and to enhance coordination and communication in Texas’ energy and electric industries, according to the Public Utility Commission of Texas, which selected these appointees.
