GenCell launches hydrogen fuel cell generator to displace diesel in backup power

Hydrogen fuel cell producer GenCell has launched a long-durationgenerator that could displace diesel in remote backup powerapplications, it said Sept. 29.The GenCell BOX alkaline fuel cell can supply 5 kW of power withunlimited run time, powered by hydrogen.“The ultra-reliable alkaline fuel cell technology provides longduration5-kW backup power that is specifically designed to meet therequirements of telecom base stations, fiber optics systems andnetwork equipment,” GenCell said in a statement.
