GenCell launches hydrogen fuel cell generator to displace diesel in backup power

Hydrogen fuel cell producer GenCell has launched a long-duration generator that could displace diesel in remote backup power applications, it said Sept. 29. The GenCell BOX alkaline fuel cell can supply 5 kW of power with unlimited run time, powered by hydrogen. “The ultra-reliable alkaline fuel cell technology provides longduration 5-kW backup power that is specifically designed to meet the requirements of telecom base stations, fiber optics systems and network equipment,” GenCell said in a statement.
