Day-ahead on-peak power prices jumped nearly 68% Thursday at theElectric Reliability Council of Texas' North hub, data from theIntercontinental Exchange showed, while unseasonably high windpower production was forecast to fall Friday.Power trading for on-peak hours at ERCOT North was valued in themid-30s/MWh on ICE, up from Wednesday's settlement price of$21.82/MWh. Real-time on-peak power for Friday leapt in value by asimilar margin.Real-time off-peak power was also trading higher at ERCOT North,though at a less dramatic climb. ICE showed a weighted average in thelow $20s/MWh, up about 20% from $17.75/MWh.
