Xcel to buy and sell power from 240-MW solar facility in Colorado

Lightsource BP has agreed to build, own and operate a 240-MW solarfacility in Colorado that will supply power to Xcel Energy, which in turnwill sell power to steel product manufacturer EVRAZ North America,according to a statement released Friday by all three companies.The Bighorn Solar project, which is to be built on property ownedby EVRAZ Rocky Mountain Steel in Pueblo, Colorado, requires a final review by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.Lightsource BP said project investors will put an estimated $250million in the solar facility.
