Massachusetts leads the way on energy efficiency in the US, as anincreasing number of states enact policies to reduce greenhouse gasemissions and energy-saving rules for buildings, appliances andvehicles, nonprofit American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economysaid Tuesday.“If states embrace robust energy-saving measures nationwide,Americans can slash greenhouse gas emissions by 50% and delivermore than $700 billion in energy savings by 2050,” Steven Nadel,executive director at ACEEE, said in an emailed statement.
