Northeast day-ahead power prices sank on the day, with lower temperatures and decreasing demand. Mass Hub on-peak day-ahead came down on the day, losing about $5.25 to near $24.50/MWh for Thursday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange. ISO New England forecast demand to fall 4.5% to 14,550 MW Thursday from 15,250 Wednesday, as temperatures were forecast to fall sharply on the day.
