Weak demand helps drag down Northeast spot power prices

Northeast spot power prices were down Tuesday with mild weather keeping demand in check. Mass Hub on-peak dropped more than $5 to the mid-$30s/MWh for Wednesday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange. Mass Hub off-peak eased around $1.75 to be in the low $20s/MWh. Mass Hub on-peak balance-of-the-week packages were valued in the upper $30s/MWh, while on-peak next-week were also in upper $30s/MWh.
