AD Hub on-peak sinks $4.75 on lower power demand forecast

Mid-Atlantic and Midcontinent day-ahead power prices weakened Monday as PJM Interconnection forecast demand would fall. Forward prices fell alongside the prompt-month NYMEX natural gas futures contract. In the PJM footprint, AD Hub on-peak dropped $4.75 to trade in the mid-$20s/MWh for Tuesday delivery on the Intercontinental Exchange. PJM forecast peakload would fall 5.8% to about 98,350 MW Tuesday from 104,400 MW on Monday.
