Finland government prepares for major revision of its nuclear law

Finland's government is preparing an extensive revision of the country's nuclear law, intended in part to take into account developments such as small modular reactors, the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment said in a statement Dec. 8. Draft legislation for the revisions will be issued for public comment in 2024, with the goal of having the new law in force in 2028, the statement said.
