Union campaigns for bargaining rights at Livermore before contract change

A growing group of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory employees wants the right to bargain with management at the Energy Department lab before DOE picks a new contractor in the spring. The Society of Professionals, Scientists and Engineers, a local chapter of the University Professional and Technical Employees union, in November launched a campaign to enlist lab personnel interested in making the union their bargaining agent.
